Negombo Beach

Yala Park is the second-largest safari park in Sri Lanka. The climate here is semi-arid and there are vast expanses of dry woodland and open grasslands, divided into five neighbourhoods. A jeep safari through the safari park will be an unforgettable adventure, complete with the chance to be rammed by a juvenile bull elephant! But it soon becomes apparent that this is part of everyday life for a bull elephant, and it’s pretty harmless. The park also includes a wide variety of wildlife and flora. Two major rivers flow through the park and are home to some 32 species of mammals, 125 species of birds, and many reptiles and lagoon fauna. Entrance fees are paid at the main entrance office and include a tracker service. In our opinion, Yala National Park is the place to watch peacocks in their best clothes, monkeys chattering in the bushes, elephants calling in the bushes, the elusive Sri Lankan leopard (Panthera pardus kotiya) silent in the bushes The perfect place to glide around looking for your next meal, and the end of the dry season is the best time to see animals around shrinking waterholes.
